A slow chapter, but wraps everything together nicely and sets up the next big conflict.

I personally don’t mind changes like these if the original meaning isn’t lost. Whether Zork, Zooku, Zerg, it’s still describing the same phenomena within this specific story context.

Go with what sounds coolest.

Besides the exciting plot, really love the casual time between party member :giggle::giggle:

Death smile? Where, the bottom of page 14? Oh, you mean the middle of page 10?
Yeap, on page 10, seemed like “thanks for sharing info on this conspiracy that I’ve been hunting for years that involves the guild and nobles and now this will probably be the last time we see each other since its time for someone to come and kill me” kind of smile.

"Zerg" should be replace by "WAAGH"
I likes how dis humie thinks
For me "Zerg" is a faction in StarCraft, or a short from berserk/berserker
The term does originate from star craft but was adopted by the MMO community at some point likely due to the the SC zerg tending to build swarm armies of individually weaker units which drew a neat comparison to the masses of usually under geared or leveled players who participate in such farms. The shorthand term for berserkers is "zerk" as far as am aware, at least in OSRS.
Thanks for the translation.

Zooku vs. Zerg...does there really need to be any reference or familiarity connecting to another existing franchise? Zooku sounds fine. Honestly, Zork sounds a little silly.
it doesn't need to be some sort of reference or anything but as far as i can remember this manga hasn't used any purely made up terms so far. There are some non standard ones sure but they are always made up of real words. in addition I don't think we have had to resort to using any untranslated Japanese in this manga so far and if there is a relatively close term in English, including slang, id prefer to use it. if it seems like the majority of people disagree by the time I get sent the next chapter I'll go with whatever people seem to like the most.

this mc pisses me off so much. at first he's all like "i have to report suspicious activities to the guild master!" and then he's like "hold on, i don't think i can trust the guild master!" and now he's all like "i totally trust this not suspicious at all individual that is throwing baseless accusations around about the guild and nobles!". like how the fuck is he not suspicious about the most suspicious person here?! this guy randomly shows up, forms a raid with mc, raid goes sideways, this random guy starts blaming others for the raid's near failure and mc just trusts him without question. at this point i'm just here for the confirmation this dude is actually evil and the mc's surprised and shocked face when it's revealed. after that i'm definitely dropping this trash.

you think he's gonna die? ha, bro this guy is about as suspect as they get. he's clearly leading the mc on because he knows the mc is a threat to his plans. he's keeping an eye on the mc and misleading him by throwing the guild and nobles under the bus. think about how suspicious he's been since the start. the mc is clearly not a very good judge of character.

Thank you for the chapter! Zerg seems fine because we're likely all familiar with the the term "Zerg rush" here. Zork could've just been picked because it's a video game reference and there may have been no deeper thought into it than that. I'm usually one to prefer accuracy over changing things, but in this case it seems pretty minor.

I don't know. If there's a spy/instigator undercover like the last pages seemed to hint at, she's the only obvious choice, the sword guy is too stupid...

I think the name fits, though not for the reason your talking about, it's very similar to the term "zerg rush" which comes from starcraft originally but is now used commonly in gaming communities.
The term means a leader/evil lord sending out massive amounts of cannon fodder that themselves might be strong but not strong enough on their own to win, but in mass numbers can overwhelm their foe, what was described in the story was a typical "zerg rush" where the leader of the monsters would lead them to attack the town in large numbers overwhelming their defenders.

This is actually a type of military tactic that the soviet union was known to employ especially in ww2, though it didn't always work.
