The whole 'blue-balling' thing is a bit ridiculous in manga generally but let's be real here reaching the end-game is usually gonna cause a drop off in reader popularity. There's a fine balance to teasing but keeping the story going without the frustrating interruptions - this one doesn't feel particularly unreasonable tbh.

Personally, I think this series needs a bit more build up and adventure yet.. hopefully another 2 or 3 volumes at least. I mean right now it's not even clear whether this is gonna lean fully into the romance aspect or go full harem - for the record I'm all for the latter

That monsterous wolf cutting in at the worst time was obvious, but I think this might be a series that can pull off a "nevemind the silly interruption, let's go back to business". There's still a few story threads that can still be explored even after they fuck. Fingers crossed.
