A couple of successful ones used it such as Rise of the Shield hero, now everyones jumping on the bandwagon.
Rise of the Shield Hero
Keyaruga
=================
Harem Labyrinth
Bunnywalker 2022 - 2023, having slavery for 2 years means it sold really well. Even better than Fat Bastard ( yes Austin ).

I can't stand how so many japanese comic artists draw older men. There's something grotesque and juvenile looking about the way our 'old man' 30-year old MC looks - like his eyes and features are drawn too large or something that give him a gross baby looking face while randomly shoving 'old' features on like the way his jaw is drawn.

is this MTL? why does the grammar keep jumping around from slang, to formal, to old archaic style? i appreciate the effort but no matter how trash english as a language is, there should be a minimum to how much you can mess it up

Tbh, don't know how this got in the top list.

The art is bad really bad. The MC looks so strange like young but old and that he has not eaten for the last month. The story is so stupid once again. Lets boot the hero that would in a real sense have huge support in the country and influence. If he can't be used in the field anymore he would be used to stand around and be a symbol for the people. Like another story I read that had a hero (not the mc) MC wanted to fight him but he refused because he would lose but can't lose because he is a symbol.

Then we have the new hero being a dick for no reason. Like always happens in these stories and then offcourse the mc is a virgin. AND then comes the slave wifes... Hate the trope it can work some did it alright but most don't if feels stupid and bad in my opinion.

Some people defending it seem insane to me. Ah, yes I need a woman that I can trust and can't betray me so lets put her as a slave so she can't rebel and have rights to say no because she is a item. Lets ignore all the shit that happend to slaves and just focus on all the good because the MC is nice to them so how can it be wrong.

This set up for 9/10 stories is not needed. I KNOW nothing will change story wise if that girl was an adventure.

Also what is up with the TL?

Keyaruga is Kaifuku Jutsushi no Yarinaoshi. Honestly, it's edgy trash that was fun initially but gets progressively worse the longer it drags on.

Harem Labyrinth is probably Isekai Meikyuu de Harem O. It's a good erotic slice of life with believable characters. Those who choose to become slaves have rights that are enforced by magic, so it's more like hiring a live-in maid/servant.

No idea about Bunnywalker.

Isekai Maou to Shoukan Shoujo no Dorei Majutsu is a fun one where the slavery is caused by a spell backfiring instead of the usual purchase of slaves. Shenanigans ensue as a timid otaku tries to play the role of an overbearing demon king.

Mezase Gouka Kyakusen is off to a good start and the slave acquisition is suspiciously convenient. Story is meandering a bit though so I'm not sure it will continue being a good read.

Perhaps not so surprisingly, all of the other isekais with slaves on my reading list rank as decent at best. Fantasy indulgement rather than actually good stories.

Lmao. The author is so damn biased.

Forgetting about real-life slaves, I remember read an isekai where the MC wants to come back because he has a sick little sister to protect. While in isekai he founds a slave who resembles his little sister and buys her out of guilt. He treats her so nice to the point she is confused by it.

But his goal ultimately is to leave that world and he never tells her about it. One day just when he decides to leave, she is already waiting at the door. She does everything she can to prevent him from leaving. That betrayal took me out more than Griffith.
What's the name of the series? Sounds like an interesting read.
