He developed a skill/spell to delay damage. When activated for some time (I think around 30 minutes) any damage he receives (even if it's an attack that will kill him) will be delayed. That being said, he still can be healed from the that damage while in that state. If he doesn't receive treatment by the time his ability wears off, all accumulated damage will hit him at the same time. Which we saw in the manga. Mithra really embracing that tank mindset.

It's pure mana in physical form. It enhances his mobility, offense and defense. It can tank pretty powerful attacks. It is free flowing and shapable by his thoughts. He can make a path to run in the sky, fixing his lack of flight magic. It isn't limited to a humanoid form.
