I think it's more so that Makoto has never really experienced romantic love and has only been exposed to familial love before his transfer and after that he has had two beautiful women basically throwing themselves at him and feels very uncomfortable and overwhelmed in that area. He basically gaslights himself into thinking of them like family members but slowly opens up to having romantic feelings and relationship as the story progress.
While I might amend my opinion on calling him asexual, after people have pointed out various things, the fact is that he is extremely picky about his potential romantic interest. He has made that abundantly clear. Not picky in the stupid sense of fantasy high expectations of "needs to be a blonde with blue eyes, big boobs, good sense of humour, wise in using money, intelligent, can sing and play instruments, not overly jealous or controlling, etc", but picky in the sense that there's only one in a million women that does trigger anything in him, for unspecified reasons.

His mindset in regards to romance has been framed by multiple things - his love for historical period dramas which colored his mindset on romance, the fact that people would approach him in order to gain connections with his family which led him to categorize every girl who confessed to him in as either a friend, or as family - same as he did to Mio and Tomoe the only reason Tomoe and Mio manage to break through is their persistance and Makoto finally accepting returning to Earth was not going to happen, and for the hyuman girls who like him - he doesn't see hyumans as a romantic target in anyway shape or form due to their connection to the Goddess, and he probably won't until he gets to knock her down a peg but the biggest reason is he is determined to return to Earth and until he finally accepts that path isn't possible he lets down his walls and lets Mio and Tomoe in(and Tomoe is trying improve his opinion of hyumans so that they can not only enter Asora, but that he can finally respond to the hyuman women who want to be with him too.

6. Abelia wants to work in Kuzunoha company, mainly because of Shiki, but it's complicated. Shiki gaslighted her into body modification experiments because she is too weak to work close to him and Makoto. However it is hard to say yet why he did it, from the vibes of conversations (because WN is more of general outline and LN and Manga have MUCH more details) it looks like he is subconsciously attached to her,but their relationship is complicated.
My opinion is that Shiki is indeed really attached to Abelia and gaslighted her into experiments so that she would stop being hyuman because of Makoto. He still tends to discriminate against Hyumans, and still keeps them away from demiplane, with one exception of Lime Latte, who was accepted after becoming Tomoe's familiar. Which is ironic if it ends up being true, because Makoto is actually rooting for Abelia and plans to accept her if Shiki decide to marry her.

iirc, shiki literally explained to her that he's not hyuman, is older than her grandpa, and that he loathe the goddess. but since he doesn't hate her, he gave her a choice (she haven't answered yet if i remember right)
Aren't there the other two princess sisters who are from the fallen country, one works in a bar and the other in a library? If they go more than just Tomoe and Mio they are possible. Im also kind of curious if the other girls from his original world come into play, because it was my understanding at least one liked him.
you (and especially both of them) are not ready for the elysion arc :kek:
And then there is root, who is basically immortal as is makato so thats also possible.
some root lore will be dumped at the lorel dungeon / futsu arc

You think that's crazy... wait until all the stuff that accompanies the reveal of why Makoto is still level 1. Let's just say the bug isn't very liked, even by her peers.

and is level 16 or so

His real level is something like 1x,xxx or 1,xxx,xxx isn't it ?

Not very liked? The other pantheons hate her because she's generally the worst. The divine realm management straight up hate the idea of even having to be anywhere near her lunacy.

i'm afraid mithra is too pure for the family, not to mention with this chapter showing how "shrewd" the rembrandt couple are

This just reminds me, why isn't Kuzunoha married yet? The fuck are Mio and Tomoe doing?

His social situation would be so much easier if people looked at him and saw "oh he has a first and second wife already" instead of "he's unmarried, I have a shot as long as I can beat Tomoe!"

Eh, they are their parents' daughters. It's one and the same for them. In fact, all in all, this series has built a fitting mentality well enough, that romance isn't everything there is to a marriage. Makoto's asexuality and disinterest in romance is often overshadowing the other characters' desires, especially reciprocated ones. When we are used to watching a whole bunch of females being interested in Makoto, yet Makoto gives them absolutely nothing in return, it may make it more difficult to notice anything going on between other characters where Makoto isn't involved at all. Stories revolve around the main character, after all.
Considering how the fuckass author gave us the bullshit story about Makoto's parents, the piece of shit just loves to give us really fuckin unsatisfying and downright frustrating relationship aspects. Personally, it's one of the most glaring problems of the series.

They did go a bit into detail about this world's view on marriage (although that may only pertain to the elite of society).

iirc, The first wife is the important one that is done for love an holds the highest ranking inthe harem. While the second+ are more for "forming connections/political ties" and/or are a "marriage of convenience" to avoid marrying someone else or to raise their own status. Its why all the girls were trying to become Makoto's second or third wife with their romance letters.
And the crazy thing is, all the ones in pursuing him right now are all shooting for the 1st seat lmfao, and they're arguably the best of the best people out of the entire series. All these little flies just want the boon to becoming a 2nd or 3rd wife. I'm wondering though what sexual relationships are usually like with wives that aren't the first one. Does it even exist? Or is that kind of relationship usually mostly saved for the first wife? Or is having children with the husband still a big part of the connection/political tie thing, and it's kind of a must to have children to deepen that tie? Depending on how it is, it's still crazy then for these girls to think that they just want the 2nd or 3rd wife seat.

I sincerely hope Tomoe is able to persuade him or something. I'd be so fucking pissed if Sif didn't get to be with him. While she may not be a peer with him when it comes to power and strength, but she's the closest to him in age. Tomoe and Mio are WAY fucking older than the MC, they'd be super grandmas to him. Not to say that I don't like the coupling, they're obviously the number 1 duo for the MC. But if Sif at least doesn't get to nab a spot as 3rd wife at the very least, I'm going to be livid. Anyhow, who are the other hyumans that legitimately seek to be with him aside from Sif?
I've already read spoilers that Yuno is going to get into a relationship with Misca. I guess the author doesn't want biological pole sisters to be a thing lmfao, despite the fact that he added disgusting NTR bullshit with Makoto's parents

Sif, Yuno(even if she's "dating" Mithra she'd ditch him in a heartbeat if Makoto showed interest in her, The librarian and her sister, IIRC those 4 are the only ones. Another issue that hurts the hyuman girls chances of getting with Makoto is their lifespan, Makoto understands he's going to live a VERY, VERY long time, same with Mio and Tomoe, Sari cannot die due to the blood curse she used(which Makoto is STILL seething about, and for good reason), and Tamaki is a psudo-divine being as a result of her many contracts with Gods/Goddesses before being contracted to Makoto. None of the hyuman girls will ever be strong enough for a contract with Makoto, and he doesn't have a way to extend their lives at the moment.

Who is Sari? And doesn't Makoto fear Tamaki as her eyes are pure malevolence?

She is one of the Demon King's daughters, she uses a forbidden blood ritual to permanently tie herself to Makoto, she thought if she did so he'd support the Demons in their fight against the goddess or at the very least be motivated to protect the Demon Race should they lose. Aside from when Komoe was killed, this is legitimately the angriest Makoto ever gets in the WN, he absolutely loses his mind, upon finding out he cannot break the curse/soul bond he keeps her locked up until an ocean region opens up in Asora and he banishes her there to manage it. As of the latest WN chapter she is legitimately contrite about what she did but she understands she may have irrocably ruined any relationship she may have had with Makoto. As for Tamaki, yeah he locks her in Asora because he's afraid she's going to go on a killing spree but that was why she was sent to him in the first place, to dissuade him from heading down a similar path of bloodlust like he does in the alternate futures so now she is basically Makoto's apostle in Asora managing the shrines that have been set up for Artemis, Tsukiyomi, Susanoo, Daikokuten and as much as Makoto hates it, one for himself as well.
