Good that the MC is environmentally minded, but considering the world is a creation from Shin's powers with influence from the contract I'd say it only existed the moment the contract was made so there's no centuries old balance to disturb.
Btw, the demons aren't monolithic or all good or evil but just as varied or grey as humans are. Some are really bad, like the ones who were demanding orc maiden sacrifices, and believe ends justify any and all means. Others are just as noble and honorable as a paladin or knight protecting the weak who stay their hand from harming enemy civilians but will fight an enemy soldier to the death.
@OllyMolly MC isn't powerful just because Tsukuyomi gave some of his powers, but because he grew up in Origin Earth which has no blessings and extremely harsh conditions which were greatly alleviated coming to this world. Similar to how Superman was born on Krypton and became OP when came to Earth.
