yeah him being ugly in the eyes of everyone else in this world really falls flat when he looks exactly like any other isekai mc, it doesnt even play up the goddess' vanity either because i wouldnt say he even looks less beautiful than any other character in this manga. and I dont remember if we saw how other people see his face, so I really need to see how everyone else views him cause it has to be crazy as hell

It’s actually a great detail giving credit to the manga artist but he IS uglier than everyone. This is portrayed by him being drawn less detailed than everyone. It’s done subtly, sort of portraying the fact that he isn’t actually ugly, but notice there is a lot less details on his eyes and hair compared to everyone, with exception of funny anime eyes.

Mostly because he views Tomoe and Mio as family, like they're siblings or cousins. Unless you're a specific kind of degenerate, that isn't exactly appealing. There's also a certain amount of power dynamic: There's a level of coercion there due to the master-servant contract that he isn't comfortable with. The last bit is that he isn't entirely certain he plans on staying in this world, so he is hesitant of any entanglements because of that.

Funnily enough, she didn't. The only things the goddess did was grant him the ability to speak with anything not human, its not even a curse preventing human speech, he just cannot speak it due to his own weakness, though I personally think that the goddess just designed a very poor language and that's why he cannot speak it. For that other part he was not cursed by her to be ugly, he is simply average looking in japan, but since average beauty there is peak beauty in japan he is deemed ugly.

The Goddess did absolutely nothing regarding Makoto's looks. He was a 6~6.5/10 at best on Earth looks wise(made worse because the rest of his family are 10/10, and he looks worse in the Goddess' world because the ugliest hyuman is naturally a 9/10 making him look down right deformed in comparison(in their eyes).
