Like why even add the random suspense scene last chapter if you're just gonna skip it all anyway?

I am genuinely impressed that this story has stayed interesting for this long, most isekai stories get really bad or get axed long before this point.

Well, the web novel is really good; there are some amazing fights in the future, far beyond of what we have seen in the anime against sofia and lancer. The plot doesn't falter at all, i would say.

True, but showing it probably also more meaningless. The assassin and the sensei wouldn't even leave a scratch on Kuzunoha's shop employee, let alone kuzunoha. Their reasoning for showing that is probably just for the "suspense" and show us that someone "irrelevant" did that.

At the very least there is no unnecessary fight with random mob shown to us.
