So Rembrandt's ambition is pretty much to become the largest company in Tsilge.
He's already a lover with Lisa, his current wife, even before the previous president of Hanza's company died.
Then he killed, through Moris, the previous president and (kinda) blamed the craftsman for that.
Then he dispel the blame to gain trust of the craftsman.
Then he "seduce" the Hanza's current president, the previous president's daughter.
Then he finally killed her to absorb the Hanza's company into Rembrandt.

That's why he's kinda disappointed when the craftsman gives up on the Hanza's pres, since if the craftsman keep his love burn strong, he might be able to absorb Hanza's company even quicker since the craftsman already trusted him.
That's kinda fucked up, and makes the craftsman grudge justified.

So why'd he even "seduce" the Hanza's pres, again? Like, he doesn't need to console her right after her father's dead, and she'll stay as the craftsman lover and get absorbed into Rembrandt way quicker.
Or why'd he even frame the craftsman for the prev Hanza's pres death, anyway. If he just killed him "normally" and bless the craftsman's love through normal means, he can reach the same thing with less blood.

So most basically there was no other party involved here... it just progressed that way killing and doing things for profit... nothing is perfect so are to say....
But getting into the mechant lands is sure shady....

@mage_goo I know it's a long time since you asked this question, but I think he was going to kill her either way. If she runs away to marry that craftsman, then they both die in an accident, or monster attack, but it would have come about quicker, by not eloping, by breaking off the relationship all together, they made him put in more time and effort for his cover.

its either a manga only plot point or a ln only, not really sure, i got somewhere around 250~ in the wn and dont think it was ever mentioned, if someone read/reads the ln they could weigh in. this honestly feels like a manga only plot point though.

@alidan Not sure about the LN, but I read the wn 3 times and it was all there besides extra, purely visual things such as Morris killing the lady Hanza prez

where was that because I don't remember it but like I said, I was a bit behind what is currently out. I mean specifically the point where its revealed makoto had the item she was looking for due to manga being visual we can infer that a bit sooner then it may have come up in the wn.
