"In a neutral city at least I don't have to deal with spy business."

Really? If fictional works ever told us anything about neutral cities, it's that they are all about spy business.

@gaigous Reverend Insanity is even better than WMW, it became my favorite novel instantly, the mc is a true devil and is extremely satisfying to watch wreaking havoc everyone life~ :)

@DaoLaw I'm not looking for shock value when I crave a Villain, I'm looking for cold indifference and Machiavellian schemes, like Lex Luthor.

I've tried reading a lot of CNs that might be similar, some examples being Reverend Insanity, Grasping Evil, and HeavenlyJewel Change, but I just can't get into any of them, I think the reason I'm able to Love WMW so much is the western naming and Leylin.

I wanted a book with an MC that valued himself and his goal above everyone and everything, so many books start off with an Evil MC, but they always end up valuing their clan or something else in the end, Leylin's quest for knowledge and power is neverending, if sacrificing his entire clan children and wives would guarantee him the true eternity he craves, it would be done in a heartbeat, such consistency of character is mind-bogglingly hard to find.

Some annoying tropes were broken in it as well, like that time his avatar slept with those two pleasure devils, no obsession with purity or virgins.

Then there's the magic, I always play some kind of mage in RPGs, and I love the darker aspects of it, like blood magic and necromancy, all the different rituals Leylin performed were drool-worthy to me.

In conclusion: Reverend Insanity may have the better story, but Leylin was the perfect MC for me.

Those adventurers must have hit their heads when they were babies because they are really dumb. Tomoe taught them nothing amazing, she just suggested things that anyone with some common sense would have thought of ages ago.

Like, holy shit, things like "doing sneak attacks is a good idea if you are a rogue" or "fucking with your surroundings is a good idea if you have earth and water magic" are so fucking basic that I'm surprised she didn't "impress" them with her "superior" knowledge by telling them they can use their nose to breathe or that they should eat if they are hungry.

Somehow I always imagined the forest oni to look quite different while reading the web novel.

I know you posted this a long time ago, but...

The people of this realm are called "Hyumans". The Goddess made them based on "Humans". However, she made intelligence and wisdom "dump stats", and gave them the ability to use magic, and made all of them inherently beautiful. Afterwards, she gave them blessings and made them unga bunga strong to the point actual tactics was pointless for most of their conflicts. Additionally, she added lines of prayer to herself in most spells, so even offensive spells take longer to cast or have their output affected because of it.

Additionally...
The game system, classes, levels of this world are all artificial. They weren't originally part of this world. After meeting the first summoned heroes, someone in charge was enamored by it and implemented into their society.

Yeah, I recall Makoto prefered to be called Ningen rather than Hyuman. So, you're saying the ones didn't receive that dumb Goddess blessing are actually more intellectual than those Hyumans? i,m surprised they still survive until now.

Honestly his mana seems to be strongest in this world if people could feel it steadily growing. From the opposite side of the content, and honestly I think cause he the rings and everything is kinda helping him gain/ train his mana in the long run, so once they're off he'll be destroying everything near by

Good thing he's probably the strongest in the world because with how naive he is he'd be long dead or captured if he wasn't

If Musumi's level can be counted... I'll assume the calculation by comparing it to how he & Tomoe form their Master-Slave contract (8:2)... So Tomoe's Level=1340/2x8=5360. Musumi's Level=5360 then (currently/previously when Tomoe just got hers appraised when she got her second Adventurer's Guild card).

But if his level is compared to Mio's... 1500/2x8=6000. So it's safe to say Musumi's level is more or less 6000 & beyond.

"Levels are just numbers."

MC making use of connections to isekai Jeff Bezos again.
Also the Demon faction doesnt seem all that evil. They just seem to be attempting to carve out a place for themselves in the land while defeating their enemies: the humans. No clear generic "good vs evil" distinction between the two factions, which is good.
