@NIPHY well, knowing how they don't care why their daughter goes out for a looooong time, it was rather implied. still sad tho :/

Well, i agree with others, what the daughter say here is really shitty.

Of course, for her, her mom will always be her mom, no matter who the father is.
But for the dad ? His wife will always be his wife. That's why even 10 years later, he didn't even tried or wanted to be in a relationship with someone else, and he would die like that probably (and pretty soon too because of depression+bad health) without this miracle.

So daughter decided to be a bitch and undermine her parents getting back together despite knowing how it destroyed both her and her father and it seems the mom's reincarnated self's mother is an abusive piece of shit.
what are you bitching for😭

Oh shit. I feared that she had abusive parent or something like that. For her to be left alone for long periods of time....

In any case. What if the the daughter ends up with the Shota and the father with the mother reincarnated? Hehehe.

I asked for worldbuilding... but I didn't expect a left hook from where I wasn't looking

Though, Mai has a nice refreshing perspective on Mom's reincarnation. In her mind, I suppose she acknowledges the Marika-chan that's free to live her childhood life with all its wackiness and potential love. Mom's there, they can interact, and that's already more than enough.

It's only a little upsetting that Mom had been dealing with... whatever that might be... all this time. She even snuck out entire bentos at specific times on scheduled days throughout the week just for Dad. Mom's amazing T T
