Good for you, Sugawara. Push on through, because that's the only way you'll be able to with this dense girl.

What a load of crap. Chii-chan has been ignoring Suga-yan for four months and, all of a sudden, after school is all over for the year, she finally says, "I like you too" and they become a couple in a matter of minutes? Saying this was rushed would be putting it mildly. Frankly, when Suga-yan said, "I'm not waiting anymore," I thought, "Good, he's finally gonna give up on this loser chick. It'll serve her right." But, no, the mangaka throws them together in a fashion that's way out of character. What a load of crap. I can guess that the final chapter will be just as unbelievably stupid as this and all the other "bookend" chapters. I'll never read another series by Wakabayashi Toshiya, ever. Up until the announcement that the series was coming to an end, I had given this series a rating of "9", but now a rating of "1" is way too generous.

@FredFriendly: "Ignoring him for months"? "Out of character"? What are you on about? Takano hasn't been ignoring Sugawara all this long, she's only been misinterpreting all the signs of him being romantically interested in her as being simply evidence of a completely platonic friendship because of a combination of low self-esteem and having an idealized (but not entirely inaccurate) image of him. And Sugawara's "not waiting anymore" in this chapter translating into refusing to give up on their romance is actually in-character for him; throughout the story, he may have faltered several times and fallen into momentary despair over the seeming futility of confessing to Takano due to both her denseness and untimely interruptions, but it's always followed with their next chapter showing that he hasn't given up on his love for Takano in spite of both himself and the setbacks he's suffered. This persistence is a hallmark of Sugawara's character, so you saying otherwise seems to speak more about you having personal bias against Takano herself than anything more defensible.

@MarqFJA87: The last time Chii-chan spoke to Suga-yan was on New Year's Day when she finally heard his confession. She never replied to his confession, and admits she hasn't spoken to him since, yet they are in the same classroom every day. It's now four months later so, yeah, she's been ignoring him for months. I am not disputing Suga-yan's feelings for Chii-chan, but I am disgusted with the really crappy story-telling, the feeling that they are being shoe-horned together just to get it over with, and gushy, touchy-feely way they end up which is out of character for them. I like both Chii-chan and Suga-yan, and would certainly have been pleased if they became a couple in a believable way, but this was just utter crap.

I'm joining the "fucking finally" train! But yeah, i'm happy they can be together.

But reading this chapter reminded me how much pesimistic Takano can be. God girl, you finally realise that you're in love with a guy who love you back, and you only see the problems in that. Good lord...

@FredFriendly: honestly, you shouldn't be surprised that much. I said it already some month ago, but all (or almost all) of Tsurezure Children potential couple will became official couple, it's kind of obvious, it's the kind of manga where it happens.

That aside, I can understand the problems you've got with many interaction some couple have in this serie, I can understand why it's making you angry. But i'm not agreeing with most of them. I mean, I think you're are pretty harsh with that manga but I think the author didn't think of it as much as you (and, let's be honnest, wasn't always the best of writer). He just wanted to put various scene with young people in love. I also think some of the problem you are talking about (like the "ignoring for month") come from the fact that the author failed to stay coherent in with his use of time in a serie where each chapter must be about different characters, and where he had to make the year progress because he knew this was going to end soon.

In short, all I want to say is, yes this manga have good points and bad points, yes this manga was well writen sometimes, and not so much other times and we all have our own vision, interpretation and perception of what happened in it. But, even if you didn't like it, no need to be that harsh or agressive about it.

And all that aside... Next chapter is last chapter guys. I think we all know how it will go, but I still want to see it! See your for the finale, people.

Personally didn't care much about this couple ever since the beach arc with the stupid "eh? the waves were too loud, I didn't hear you screaming that you love me :///" nonsense. That having been said, the time skip here was clearly not planned for, but that doesn't bother me that much. Don't care much about the "main" couples' finale either.

I say all that because Ryoko and Akagi already got best couple, and their presence in this manga alone is enough for me to 10 it.

Smooth ship sailing as predicted. If you honestly expected a bad ending for THIS couple of all the ones, that's on you. It was pretty obvious Sugawara/Takano would end well, no matter what.

Personally, I found them to be as in-character as ever, with Takano always being pessimistic/indecisive, and Sugawara squeezing out all his courage to make that extra step., which is how it happens in most of their chapters.

Last chapter is going to be Takase/Kanda, and oh please God give them an ounce of intelligence for once in this series. Let this manga end on a high note.

Guess we're not saving the best for last then! Was anticipating this pair the most, and I'm happy with their ending. Just hope the next chapter has a bit more of an epilogue feeling to it, rather than being entirely about Takase and Kanda. Alice was probably the best thing to happen to their story, because the rest of it was either bland or irritating.

Kanda/Takase and it's a wrap. Not the brightest endings, but oh well, it was a fun manga
