Nah fam you're being too harsh. As a novel reader I can tell at least the MC and the princess have a nice character development. He also is always grateful to the samurai and things that happen in his favor are comically pieced together similar to what happens in other novels like Konosuba. This is a solid 7/10 imo.
I may be, but there comes a point where it breaks the immersion every 2 or so chapters, and it's just too much for me.
And I also get so very frustrated with alot of the smaller details.

Not only the " AHA, " this is exactly the thing I needed that I got in 20 seconds without trying" every 5 chapters or so.
But also a few other things like cool JUST GOT "XYZ food item" , now I must make THAT UNMENTIONABLE THING THAT I REFUSE TO NAME TO LOOK COOL AND MYSTERIOUS.

Only to explain it like 2 pages later....
I don´t even recall it being a cliffhanger, and it is in the middle of a chapter just to serve as a terrible way of
showing the MC´s thought process that is as dry as a fucking desert, introducing SUPERIOR NIPPON FOOD THAT NEVER EXISTED BEFORE.
Despite 9 out of 10 times being something people were eating like 2000+ years ago and is super basic.
There have indeed been some nice character interactions here and there, like you said.
And SOME of these things are bound to happen in these types of stories, but everything has limits.
I also recognise that being isekai´d with a cheat would in universe likelly only happen to somebody SUPER
unlucky.
So you can make some excuses to cosmic tomfoolery, but it's just.... too much.
Looking over it again, I would still not give it more than 5/10 at most, even if 3 might have been harsh.

But everyone is a little biased, and my bias is sadly towards the negative for this one.
Might just not be my type of Isekai power fantasy, or I'm just too burned out on this particular type of nonsense.
