I mean... did he not remember that the sword in the first place was a replica of a sword from an anime that he bought? Wouldn't the ghost's true identity be a character from that anime then?
...Christ on a crutch! I know Funimation's dubs were complete garbage, but using dubbing to insert a political bias that was never there to begin with is just beyond the goddamned pale.
Heh, for all its worth in my disappointment with the plot, i think his cloud cape is so damn cool. And cool work pipeline, i never would have guessed the screentones were added again with AI. lit.
He has a really long ponytail and long hair at the front, can use Tsubame Gaeshi, and knows who Kojiro is but insists that he isn't Kojiro. There is literally one character who fits that description.
But he said that he know "Souji". My guess is he is that infamous man-slayer Okada Izō.
He is a genius that able to copy any sword techniques at first look.
And he live in same era as shinsengumi era.
edit: Oh, he also wear same hair style.

Fate Grand Order isn't historically accurate, fyi. I could find no information on his appearance or the ability to "copy any sword technique at first look" outside of the FGO wiki.
That being said Izō is super interesting and it was fun reading about him, so thanks for sharing

Not historically accurate, but popular enough that completely unrelated works take inspiration from it rather than actual history. We'll see about this one.
