Because let’s be honest here, he’s played along way too much for way too fucking long up to this point. His simping over the Chinese girl showed everyone he could be bought, he showed complete lack of pattern recognition when the Russian girl arrived, and he managed to somehow let them self get talked into walking into an underground fighting match.

Up to this point he’s been nothing but a pushover outside of fights. So for him to finally snap and point out just how deranged everyone is? That’s healthy sign of things changing.

Plus, if we’re being real here these jackasses probably view it as doing him a “”favor”” cuz of all the money and women he could get. The shallow secretary lady couldn’t even comprehend the concept of someone who’s good at martial arts not wanting to make it his freaking job after getting jumped in the street countless times.
