Hi! I'm creating this thread so we can recommend great TV series we've watched.

I'll start with a few. The first one is the first season of True Detective.

This is a great show! Matthew McConaughey is awesome in it! It's both a mystery and a thriller.

I'm only recommending the first season, though. The other seasons have different writers, directors, and cast members.

The second recommendation I have is Severance. It's mind blowing!

My final recommendation is Succession. It's finished with 4 seasons. I enjoyed it.

I want to join too. I'll reccomend Kingdom, a 2019-2020 fiction sageuk (historical) TV series about zombies.

Usually, we only watch the zombie apocalypse in modern world setting, right? So, what if the chaos is happen in sageuk, or exactly, at Joseon period where humanity still using traditional weapon such as sword, bow, etc and the most modern weapon there is only flintlock? Here's the show.

At all, I enjoyed this show even that time only a season that aired (now they had 2 seasons) like, "Man, this is pretty unique tho." I'll reccomend this to y'all! :win:

I don't want to start a debate, but I didn't like Prison Break. I respect those who like it, though. I thought the first season was okay, but I didn't enjoy the subsequent seasons.

As for The Boys, I hate superhero stuff in general, so I thought I'd hate it. But it turned out to be very different from what I was expecting. It's not about superpowers and battles—there are very few of those

another great miniseries, Midnight Mass. it's horror/mystery and very bingeworthy.

hrrmmm, well i've never seen it so i can't say one way or another. i just remember a friend telling me it was the greatest show ever (and saw that it was overall highly rated), so i figured it would be worth a shot.

The Boys is shit and always will be (still haven't watched it btw). the writing takes a nosedive in the later seasons (some self insert bs in there) and the shock value of gruesome violence/deaths wears off by the end of the first season and is never used properly again. (still haven't watched it btw). also it's kind of a reddit show (enough said).

What about 'The Fall of the House of Usher"? Or has everyone seen that already?
i haven't seen it, but from what i've read it's not as good as Midnight Mass (a GOOD horror miniseries). i'd highly recommend Midnight Mass to everyone who breathes.

Yeah The Boys is to me in the same leagues as The Walking Dead. They're just being edgy for the hell of it most of the time. Not a fan of that.

Yo my entire life is like Succession but no money and successful people, only thing I am fighting to succeed is that one grease ridden fucking porcelain china dish that's probably a fake

I'll drop my second Korean drama series reccomendation.

Watch Hellbound (지옥, Jiok) if you want to enjoying some psychological supernatural series. Aired in 2021.

If you want to know what is this series about, it's likely close to Countdown (2019). The differences is on the death announcement concept (Coutdown is using some supernatural mysterious application that accessible every time while Hellbound is using "angel" that will summoned randomly then announcing your death), and the story focus. While Countdown is focusing on individual, the Hellbound is focusing on community (in exact, people in South Korea) and humanity reaction to something supernatural that suddenly appears and happened out-of-nowhere. It's actually an interesting series that deserves to watch.

They had 2 seasons.

First Season is aired in 2021
Second Season is aired in 2024

And I had a little opinion about the second season but I think I'll drop it later while I'm free.
