They have these spikes sticking out, some of the fish might have stabbed the net and got stuck.

The artist is really stretching believability though

This is a great start, and I enjoy the mild confusion of starting in the middle of the action. It kind of feels like the premise of Simoun meets the surreal vibes of Shimeji Simulation, but the plot is original.

This chapter does not tell us why Diode dropped the catch;. The experience that goes beyond the pale is not the fact that they discarded the fish, but that they are a female-female fishing pair. Terra had been looking for a male partner up until a few days ago, and her partnership with Diode formed in the past few days.

HOLY FUCK, a sci fi series, that IS ACTUALLY traditional sci fi? as in no cliques, very unique worlds and actual explanation on the technology and society in question? reminds me of stuff like solaris, or the old asimov stuff.
