Ik it's not ok, but at least there's a legit reason why he's like this, and this can happen to anyone


Imagine having people just drag your name thru the mud on a daily basis, you slowly start to lose trust in people and in the end you're closed up and refuse to let anyone in to prevent getting hurt again

These kinds of stories are usually terrible because the heroine has no goddamn reason to get involved with the main asshole except for increasingly elaborate plot contrivances. Like, no one in their right mind would think a guy that's being this hostile is interesting.
