Ueno my son, my goat. You couldn't pay me believe this where we'd end up from chapter 1 but here we are and I love it.
Boring. Get me off this ride, I give no shits about bozo or his slut ex.
Ueno going out of his way in this particular manner means nothing to me. A proper man would've settled this in a more direct manner. Not by some random tennis game that will mean nothing. You lot really think bozo is gonna respect the result of the match?
If he is as big a scumbag as he appears, we're just in for filler chapters and a waste of time.
While I do want to go back to those too, I'm actually perfectly happy with this arc being a bit longer. Beyond just exploring Manaka's character more, I think there's a lot to be said about how Ueno himself can grow from helping her solve her issues. While I do like the purpose of this arc, I can't wait until we get back to Ueno interacting with his bullies as before, especially Chisaki and Tsubomi. Chisaki's conflicted feelings over Ueno and Tsubomi seeing Ueno as a friend which makes her feel guilty about her bullying. Those are the storylines I want to see a continuation after this arc.
you still forget that she wants itso the other guys are confirmed weirdos that willingly associate with and cheer on sexual assault coercion and all that shit
and they just let her walk away with them all alone? and he agrees to a freaking tennis game over the wellbeing of his girl friend and the very real possibility (dude said it himself) of her being raped...
Chills.
While I do want to go back to those too, I'm actually perfectly happy with this arc being a bit longer. Beyond just exploring Manaka's character more, I think there's a lot to be said about how Ueno himself can grow from helping her solve her issues.
Her past seems to remind him of his, and in helping her accept who she was, and more importantly who she is now and how she is not solely defined by her sexual desires, Ueno can further come to accept those aspects of himself and integrate them into the person he wants to be.
He's already made some progress in this regard, but in confronting someone with similar desires he might be able to accept that there's nothing wrong with them. Because if he doesn't look down on Manaka for hers, why should he look down on himself for his own?
I think this arc may well lead to the ultimate conclusion that, yes, Ueno and Manaka are Ms, but there's nothing wrong with that, and it doesn't mean they don't deserve the same respect and treatment as anyone else. Manaka and Ueno can and deserve to have both their sexual and emotional needs be met by their partner rather than needing to choose one or the other.
And it also directly shows Chisaki in a better light by having her acknowledge just how scummy Manaka's ex is, which may well lead to her eventually attempting to fix her relationship with Ueno (though that would likely be at the end of the manga).
Honestly, I think I generally rate this series higher than most reading it, mostly because I genuinely think it has some interesting and thoughtful writing underneath all the fetish content, so I'm rarely worried about "NTR" and whatnot.
Well she is best girl after all and she feels so bad about how she treated ueno. To make up for it she needs to marry him and give him 3 kids.girl in the hat so precious
Kinda hope Manaka will fight this battle herself. Because iirc she's an actual tennis player herself. Idk what Ueno is thinkingour boy may be in some trouble

Ueno already kind of won by being seen to step up… that said I kind of want Ueno to lose miserably. This isn’t his fight in the first place.
The ex guy… I don’t actually know what he is thinking. Nobody will be impressed if he wins, it’s just bullying the weak, and if he loses or it’s even somewhat close it will be humiliating. There’s no upside.
