Nah, I'm honestly convinced NEITHER of them will cheat, there might be some bait when Riku comes back into the story but just like the bully trio is changing I think Riku will too.

The only factor I'm worried about in all of this is Chisaki, unlike Tsubomi and Kanako she hasn't shown remorse for what she's done, I'm just worried that when Ueno and Chisaki have a proper conversation she might throw a wrench into the works instead of moving on.

I just really don't think she deserves Ueno if the worst does happen with Moka but hey, themes and such.

Hearing 'themes and such' gave me ptsd, I hope the ending isn't ass like many modern mangas

They are friends, and could remain friends, but I don’t think either of them are actually attracted to the other. They were just mutually convenient practice partners they felt safe with. Even within that paltry definition of a relationship they’re failing miserably.

Also, you think Riku of all people deserves a redemption arc? He was in like 4 chapters and is one-dimensional as hell. Zero chance the author will do that.

I'm still against a breakup happening because Ueno and Moka are really trying hard to make it work and also a breakup could lead to Chisaki winning which I am wholeheartedly against.

As for Riku it's not about whether he is deserving of a redemption arc or not, it's just a likely path the series will take, Riku is in the same spot the bully trio was in, the girls are working on improving so it stands to reason Riku will as well if he is reintroduced.

There is a basis for him having a redemption arc with Ueno's comments and his sexfriend's comment.

If Riku comes back into the story it will be framed as NTRbait until Riku reveals he's not going after Moka anymore.

If Ueno and Moka do breakup I'd be content with both of them staying single for the ending but I have complete faith they'll make the relationship work.

I haven't reread the parts so this is only going off my recollection but doesn't the Ueno x Tsubomi (I think that's the hat girl's name) scenes show that it's not a masochist problem? He was genuinely having a good time with her and didn't have any such disfunctions. He even "won" the "game" they ended up playing, which should have been a turnoff if the masochism reading is the case. Could it be as just not being attracted to each other? Weren't there other scenes that suggested that? And it could mean a reinterpretation of the inner Ueno: He is running away instead of embracing himself. The real answer would be to acknowledge that he is a pervert and to find someone that he wants to be a pervert with.
