I've not heard of any scanlation groups, but I'm doing an English text translation myself.

Here is the Chapter 1 translation (and the chapter itself on the website).

I don't know of anywhere hosting raws or how to rip them from the website. As far as I know, you'll have to actually read chapters legitimately. After the first couple, that will require an account for the website (not hard to make) and spending points/money (haven't tried that yet).

Unfortunately, no. They decided to use their own transcripts, because converting mine to their format wasn't worth the effort, so I haven't been involved myself.

I don't believe so. The writing is already on the wall even in the first chapter with the "if I were a girl i'd fall for him" and then the same line gets restated in chapter 2. The only variable is whether they decide to remain a girl or go BL. I'm hoping for the latter. The question is, how good will this story get? A story about finding love with a person you didn't expect while feeling gender dysphoria but also feeling trapped by heteronormativity making it feel as though you need to remain a gender you don't want in order to make your relationship and feelings valid in your head. Coming to grips with the idea that they will love you regardless and helping you to be the person you want.

I mean I'm literally just describing trans people being in relationships pretransition. Except with a magical basis to the scenario instead of it being inborn. Still, it's not like that niche is being filled. Genderbend manga is like 40% horny, 40% horny and bad, 15% just plain bad, and maybe like 5% actually good. Gimme something with substance y'know?

This is absolutely not going to be written well enough to do that, but I think it'll still be kinda fun to read ig.

The last couple chapters of the raw can be summarized as "Hanging out with Noel makes Keisuke enjoy being a girl for the first time, then indirectly causes a big argument between Keisuke and Eito."

Regardless of who "wins", girl Keisuke and Noel are absolutely a thing. The Ciao+ website even gives the series the "GL" tag; it nominally means "Girls Life" and not "Girls Love", but you can see what other things it's used for. Same with the "BL (Boys Life)" tag.

Well hey I've been wrong before, I'll be wrong again. The flag seemed really obvious but if the official site calls it a GL I must be wrong.
I believe you are wrong about the definitions of GL and BL though. It's been boys' love and girls' love for decades. There are wikipedia pages on the acronyms. Maybe some sites call it girls' life and boys' life to keep it on the dl or something, but that isn't what it really is.
Which just proves your point further, if the series is being classed as a GL by the creator I must be dead wrong.

Yes, "Girls/Boys Love" are the usual terms. What I'm saying is the Ciao+ website has the tags "GL (Girls Life)" and "BL (Boys Life)". It's not defined, but seems to be used for both textual and subtextual same-sex romance. There's less than ten titles between them, but one of them is by the author of Uesugi-kun.

What a pleasant surprise to come across this manga, as it's been quite a while since I last read a work by Yabuuchi Yuu.

I was really into her stories a long time ago. (The adaptation of her manga Mizuiro Jidai was one of the first school-themed shoujo anime I watched back in the late '90s.) But I eventually stopped following her work at some point.

I know this isn’t the first time she’s explored gender-related themes, as she did with Dolly♪Kanon, which featured a crossdressing boy and generated enough buzz to even get a live-action adaptation, but I have no idea how that story turned out.

It’ll be interesting to see which direction she takes this manga in.
