That's not true at all... The copyright holder can subpoena Mangadex to reveal information on the user that infringed on the copyright. Which then, the copyright holder can either send the user a cease and desist or take that individual to court depending on their country and copyright laws.IF you serious about dropping the translation your stated reason makes no sense this is not one of the series hit with a DMCA and even if it was there's nothing they can really do to translators just threaten mangadex (hence why the mass takedowns)

The chances of this are extremely low, especially if you're a small uploader, but not exactly 0. But if the copyright holder is petty enough and has enough $$, anything's possible.
