I really want to like this manga – it has fun characters and would be great if executed well – but I'm beginning to worry. I just cannot get invested when new plotlines appear out of nowhere and get resolved immediately by Haiji doing Under Doctor things off-screen... I hope there is some payoff for this chapter later down the line, because it would be the most unsatisfying chapters thus far otherwise. The previous Asclepius infiltration arc at least had a point to it, which made it intriguing despite how fast it was paced.
I agree, it's lacking real conflict. Things are resolved very easily, very quickly. We need longer arcs where plans go wrong, where difficult decisions need to be made, where they can't just immediately solve the problem they're facing with what and who they have on hand.
Chapter 19 was a perfect example of this, they plan to infiltrate a dangerous place, they get in with no trouble and leave in a single chapter, it's super rushed and barely anything happened. I really like the central idea, I generally like the idea for each new little story, the art is fantastic but it's still lacking something narratively.
