Why do you think it's for Taira?
At the time this was going through my head when I said that:
So, Kato is being scapegoated in place of the NIN lords. However, someone did leak info about the mission.
Kato has mostly been left in the dark and has been fumbling around trying to figure things out.
Ozu is too concerned about using Hachiya as a stepping stone to higher power.
Sasama seems way too concerned about having Kato on Tara's side and not UN or Kumogakure. Saruta insinuates that she might be working for UN but I don't buy it. I think it is a red herring.
Taira has been odd as of late. Ranran notes that he is concerned about the specs of UN's suit. When he finds out what its for he loses it. He sweats profusely while explaining the situation but stops when he talks about Kato being executed. Then he laughs as he walks away.
That to me, seems like he leaked info to UN and when he realized what he helped them achieve he then began to shit himself. Then started to feel relief because he knew Kato would take the fall.
Do I believe this now? Maybe?!?! It comes and goes for me.
I have a lot of other thoughts that make me think otherwise. When I try to create a clear conflict web in my mind, there is always something that makes it fold or giant hitches.
Teo and Nekohira are both being utilized for UN purposes. (Yes, I'm convinced they shoved a person into the motorcycle.) So, I believe there is a UN group that has infiltrated NIN. Since, Nekohira was killed on the NIN show. So some of the scientist are involved it seems???
Teo also ends up with that robot face. The face of the robot Taira used when addressing at the "500 Ninja Council."
if anyone should take the fall it should be Taira, if he did leak info. Though, he definitely isn't the end of it.
All these things convinced me enough to respond with that.
Though, I am constantly trying figure this out, tbh. One thing I do know, there are definitely UN rats running around in NIN.
