It is pretty realistic though, that's how you get people who only report their abuse years down the line. I can't really fault her for that although it's really frustrating, I had really hoped that she would at least open up to her friend. I think the friend noticed, at least enough for her to even visit her. She tried to get her to open up but the problem is MC didn't and there's no way of the friend knowing what is wrong without being told. Although she's aware that something is wrong.
