Okay, as per my last chapter's observation, I thought this story would involves time travel plot, seeing near last chapter FMC vows not to let MC died, as if she knew what will happened to him. That, plus her unusual hair color and new style of hair deco in a historical samurai story setting, made me conclude this story have a time travel element.
Glad I am wrong. Time travel as a plot point generally suck ass.

I feel like a lot of this stuff should have been in the first chapter to better explain the premise. There was definitely some fat you could have trimmed in the first chapter and using that space explain the whole premise in the first and most read chapter I think would have been better

I actually did read the first chapter and didn‘t come back to the series till I saw the plot synopsis on the mangadex page.
