It's probably better for the anime-only viewers that way. They'll look back on the ending of those seasons with fond memories.

Iirc, some people sprinkle salt into their drinks to enhance the flavor. Pretty sure it depends on the type of drink, but it makes sense considering what salt does. The reason people like salt in general is because it's a natural taste enhancer, although the reason for that is different than other flavor sources like sugar. Salt is a mineral that is full of energy/chemical electricity, or perhaps I should say potential energy instead. Our nerves actually use sodium as a primary communication chemical, meaning without salt our body literally could not function. As for when it comes into contact with our tongues salt electrifies our taste bugs, forcing them to become more sensitive to taste. It can enhance and dull specific flavors so long as you use the right amount of salt, such as enhancing sweet and dulling bitter. Too little salt and there will be barely any effect, but too much salt and you'll enhance bitter while suppressing sweet.

All in all, salt is a wonderful mineral that a lot of people take for granted. I dare say salt is more valuable than gold and even platinum, possibly even being the most valuable thing in the world. It's just that it's so abundant that most people in first world countries don't realize it's value and importance to life. In reasonable quantities, that is. After all, too much salt could kill just as well.
