Hiatus until February?
God fucking dammit, manga industry. Stop normalizing the bullshit workload levels that make your artists push themselves to illness and sort your shit out. If you gave half a damn about the people that make your precious product you wouldn't have to do 4-month hiatuses because mangaka end up drawing for 18 hours a day without food or sleep or whatever until their bodies literally revolt.
I don't think the mangaka (manga author) has the choice for this. According to mangadex update, this manga is 1 month per chapter and that is the longest publish rate. Normally you will have per week, per two weeks or per month, I rarely see any manga update on odd day, and per month publish is the longest rate you are able to do, because anything longer than a month then the reader will lost track of the manga and the worst case scenario they will lose interest of the series. Mind you, the publish rate is based on my experienced, so it was a human nature thing, the point is the publish rate is nothing to do with the pressure from the reader to the author.
For the amount of pages per chapter, it really depend from author to author, for this series the average rage is 25 page per chapter, plus with the detail and style of the manga, which is what the author choose to do, I don't really think there is anything the industry could do to help her.
For that reason, the mangaka could have a one month PTO but with this kind of workload, they better of work their ass until something happen so that they can take the longest PTO for their health.
