This story is great. I wonder how many chapters it will be. It feels like a one volume sort of thing.

I wonder if her husband had some sort of understanding that night that... something beyond his comprehension was going on. Because up until that very moment she pushed him aside, he was like "alright. Time to fucking go" and then he just yonked off to sleep afterwards. Apparently he's exhausted all the time, and he's also apparently not attentive enough to even know how old she is, but that's still strange. If she bought that thing, wore it to bed, pushed him aside, and he knows about her spirit vision thing... did he put 2 and 2 together?

But yeah, this is a nice double twist. He's a ghost. Of course he's draining the vitality out of her. She doesn't realize it, and we even get a shot that infers she doesn't even see it because when we see her put on lipstick she doesn't look drained at all, but she's... she's being devoured by that spirit. And not in the way she likes.

I thought the mirror shot was quite clever from Paru-sensei. The "real" side of the mirror, it almost looks like her chin is much more pointy? Or is that just me? Like maybe she's projecting her beautiful version into the mirror for her to see. Either way, it's getting good. I'll try and get the next chapter out within the next week. I really want to see where this goes, in between re-watching Beastars obviously

It's possible. We have two distinct shots behind her. At the very least, she'd know we'd be re-examining those panels for hints post reveal.
