I would agree with your sentiment, but it's just a rumor (but a real one--I've heard it myself years ago) with only a hint of truth: tofu is made from soybeans, which are infamous for their STRONG phytoestrogenicity (i.e., they are plant sources of substances that affect the body the way estrogen does--not just human bodies but animal bodies in general, as the substances are actually a defense mechanism against herbivore grazing). This effect is probably how that rumor came into being--a logical but still tenuous connection. What I remember reading in the past, that being said, is rather unfortunate: instead of having a breast-increasing effect, an excess of phytoestrogen intake by women can be carcinogenic.

Then again, just about anything seems to cause cancer when consumed to excess, these days.

Speaking of feminization, JP creators really do seem to hate large breasts. In their works, they're always something to be ashamed of or reviled: either the girls who have them hate them for one reason or another or the creators depict the girls with them as being nothing but lustsinks (or deserving to be nothing more). An old convention of theirs, by now.

I don't think it's an accident that the First World got more limpwristed as its males stopped viewing big breasts as exquisite symbols of feminine beauty and started viewing them as something inherently filthy.
