Too many people who gaslit themselves into thinking the only good part of a romcom is the hunt, they be looking at this and wondering "why is there only 1 girl?".

Which kinda reminds me...what was the point of that effeminate boy character in the end?

It seems everyone enjoyed this chapter, but to me it just seemed like one thing after another with nothing interesting about it. Maybe because I don't find the characters interesting to begin with. There was no tension, subdued emotion, interactions with no payoff, etc. Just "we're on a train now", "we're in a store now"...the writing had no impact.

He wasn't as flirty there as he was here and became significant as the ML's first actual friend made on his own. And only slightly set our heroine's hackles off.
