In the same chapter you can see premonitory Komachi's decapitated head on the floor with blood too. So who knows about that.

Well there's just one problem, what about the types of death that Satsuki can't change? Seems that the Komachi family died due to sickness or disease, she won't be able to do anything if just being close to Komachi causes people to get cancer.

Not gonna lie, since the dumb twist with the evil girl and the president's death, the manga has been pretty boring.

To be honest I don't expect Akira to come out of this without serious physical harm and/or her mom being murdered. If the (superior) girlfriend is ruled out, Akira is in a position to suffer to make Satsuki and the audience feel guilty. If the manga isn't in a rush to finish and dropping plot points, Akira could be like the canary in a coalmine for the classroom massacre. Komachi deserves to be rescued but we're set to get some gutpunches about the consequences of hard choices.

This development feels like something that the author was thinking about doing from the get go for the dramatic finish, but somehow it doesn't feel earned? makes you wonder why akira and komachi are separate characters.
