Is it bad that I unironically want to hear the story? Like yeah the dad is a pretty shit person most of the time but the story gives us tidbits that he's at least somewhat capable.

That fatality was deserved, though. Telling that story- and in such an obviously abridged manner focusing on all the wrong details- to your son and his girlfriend? If this were the 90's there would be a hole in the roof and a new object in Earth's orbit.

Overall, I think the more interesting thing is Shinichi overall. Like.. he completely blacked out, and destroyed the backyard. His parents are like super humans. Dad can barely contain him now.

Honestly, I think thats the most interesting part of the chapter (along with the mom going into how the doctor saying they are more amazing then 20 year olds). Yea the comedy is good, but im more curious about their background.

Also the fact that he apparently does this regularly and never remembers it is kinda fuckin concerning
