We've all heard of Jumping the Shark. But Jumping the Snake?! That's fresh.

This is the greatest chapter of Uzaki-Chan. He fought a giant snake! Punched and kicked it! HE FOUGHT A SNAKE! It's nonsense and hilarious. Pure Meme.

wait... what was the training about again? I thought it was supposed to like, make him determine which are dangerous or not in his sleep or something?

I know this is a comedy, but green anacondas are the least cold-tolerant giant snakes in the world. It would have made more sense if the snake were a Burmese python, which are more tolerant of cold temperatures.

Thanks for the chapter.
If you had told me this romcom manga would eventually come to the point of the male lead attempting to rear-naked chokehold a giant anaconda in the middle of the wilderness I would have assumed you were trolling me, yet here we are. :nyoron:

It's not that dumb, snakes still breathe the same way as every other terrestrial vertebrate does. It's not like their heart and lungs are in their head.
Trying to asphyxiate a wild animal might make sense, but against a constrictor snake, it's more likely to backfire.
It's kinda like trying to beat a crocodile by drowning it while you're also underwater: they're just more used to it than you

gotta keep it real this is a painfully boring arc
Honestly, Take Sensei, if you don't know what else to write, it's better to end Uzaki-chan.
Look at this arc, what does it have to do with the story?
so the whole point of the "training" was to put him in a TRULY dangerous situation so that he would relax the guard he's been unconsciously keeping up his entire life, right? But he didn't afraid of anything on the trip, faced down a snake while making jokes and kicked its ass. So I doubt this accomplished anything.
Well, combine the top two comments and you get what "Take Sensei" was thinking when he made this chapter:
"This shit is stupid and boring... I don't even want to pretend this matters anymore - How the fuck can I get myself out of this?"

At least now he can draw more big titty characters when he's stalling progression and milking the readers for the last penny this work can generate.
Who knows, maybe he actually DOES have something planned for Kiri's Romance Arc and wrapped up this Sakurai Sleep Murder nonsense for the sake of pacing or to make Sakurai an available character to be used in that storyline.

EDIT: All that said, I like Sleazy Ohma (Sakurai's dad, he went limp to disperse the damage from his son's kick!), just wish him and Tsuki got to interact...

I understand how everyone feels but I personally would rather have a series go for tow long and lose interest before it ends Than have it go out at its peak or worse… having it axed!
It makes the blow lighter when it does end and gives me time to get interested in other works. (I don’t want them to ruin the manga just overstay it’s welcome.)
I’m still going to be sad when it actually ends but the blow will be lighter. Plus it might give the mangaka time to wright a new series.

The mom would probably subdue the snake and make it a pet. The snake would try to create a hierarchy in the family, but still gets his ass beat by his baby sister.

This manga sometimes doesn't seem to know how to generate plot, so it comes up with these dumbass nonsense arcs, like the dude passing out from touching boobs, or now having to fight a giant snake to control his sleep hugging(?). It's really strange. You'd think there are enough characters here with something going on that you wouldn't need to resort to these gibberish plots. But maybe that's the issue. Maybe the author knows how to come up with plots for everyone except the main couple, whose main story and conflict of "will they or won't they" has been concluded for a while now.
