I'll never understand characters in manga about to graduate from college and reducing their job options anywhere from convenience store to "Welp, time to become forklift certified", like what is Sakurai studying anyways?

I mean starting from way down the ladder in a dead end job is realistic I get that but I wish I saw characters aiming towards their actual profession a little more often

Well, it’s probably something that’d lead to a full-time job. He still doesn’t graduate for a whole year, so he specifically needs part-time employment if he wants to keep attending his classes until then.

Once he actually does graduate, then he’d look for full-time employment in the area he’s studying for, which is why they’re saying people might not wanna hire him for a job he’ll be leaving in a year. Or at least that was my understanding of it.
