I've read this series from day one, it's a masterpiece..till ch.169, after it, everything went wrong. Didn't expect author to steer in THIS direction, guess if you want to be on top you have to do certain THINGS. Im sad now. RIP Yukimura.

Vinland is truly amazing, cannot wait to see how it ends. The final arc will probably be the best once the manga is over.

Revisiting this. I think things did improve but there is a long stretch where the character writing was just bad. Only really think it has improved in the more recent chapters. It took a long time for a lot of the newer characters to not suck or feel out of place. The current arc feels a lot like the slave arc now.

Really dislike how dismissive and crude people were of anyone criticizing the series way back when. The writing just wasn't great through a lot of the expedition arc and going into the vinland arc. Always feel like if you need to resort to those personal attacks. People might have a point you just don't want to admit.
