Not everything we try and do is a success, some things end in failure, but it's the act of trying that matters even if you don't succeed.

The ending feels like Yukimura got tired of writing the story. What happened to Canute and political intrigue and...I don't know- The Lnu just get away with killing a bunch of people? Feels like so little resolution.

You got to remember that this is Thorfinn's story not Canute nor anyone elses and Thorfinn had his story's conclusion so everything else was kinda extra. I would like a light novel or a spin-off that ties up the afterstory of auxiliary characters.

Final chapter was extremely lackluster imo, Chapter 219 was much more satisfying- 220 just stumbled along to an end. Overall the Manga was relatively well-done. I have a few gripes here and there like Karli being too smart for a fuckin' kid, and the lack of a narrative conclusion to other characters in the series (even if it's just 'Canute ruled for X years and is remembered for XYZ' in a tiny panel). I do think the Baltic War arc was a snoozefest as the Third Act and not nearly as interesting as the others.
