If it was that simple Caroline wouldn't have had the trouble she was in. Lots of people in this time are just looking for their golden ticket, whatever that looks like.
They can't do anything too bad cus Polidoro would literally eviscerate them.

they are literaly soldier of this kingdom , and the boy belongs to a village in this kingdom, you dont pillage your own village
I'm sure nothing happened in the vicinity of Tuebingen, outside Stuttgart, in July of 1514. I'm sure Duke Ulrich did nothing to the peasantry that would include capture, execution, the imposition of new fines and taxes on the peasantry with the intent of ruining their lives, and so on. I'm sure that class struggle between the peasantry and the Princeships would not bubble up into the thirty-years war (these classes being codeified in law). I'm sure nothing similar happened in Japan where the peasantry and lay clergy would oppose the robber baron daimyos by force of arms, calling themselves the Ikkou-Ikki, or something. I'm sure some guy named Harunobu would never famously change his name to Shingen as a symbol of his alliance as a daimyo with (the jp equivalent of) prelate clergy.

Did you ever notice that math as a system does not change even when the variables do? There is objective logic that underlies all possibilities of truth even if someone were to concede (for some odd reason) that truth is "subjective" or "a matter of perspective," or even that the truth of Duke Ulrich doing one thing or another in July of 1514 is unknowable to them.
