On the 5th/6th of April 2026, a yab just struck vtubing again. Well not as big as the Nijisanji yab (the Selen incident), but still a big one.

A Phase Connect talent, Jelly Hoshiumi, made this tweet below.

Looking at it. Seems pretty mild & understandable. Nothing really controversial about it. But apparently, some twitter freaks don't take this lightly & start to attack both her & Phase Connect. Now Phase Connect can just ignore those freaks, delete her tweets, & lay low until everybody moved on...

BUT OH NO. They just had to make this unnecessary statement/public apology. This statement not just pissed Jelly fans, but pretty much every vtuber fan because this statement said Jelly's now deleted tweet promoted racism, hatred, & bigotry (when it's clearly not, she is criticizing Mojang/Microsoft for putting politics in Minecraft). Yup, Phase Connect just bend over backwards to those Twitter freaks/antis and gave them ammo to attack her & their other talents.
