That’s like having a school superintendent work as a regular teacher. At most, a general might come in as a guest speaker, but no way they’re gonna be forced to or even allowed to be an instructor. I hate when there is this type of plot twist because is really easy to prove that MC didn't cheat, just make him repeat the test in a controlled enviroment.
In the case someone did cheat with some telepathy just make a similar level test and have them answer it again, if they can't write anything or the level of the answer is much lower it points at possible cheating.
I dislike it because is a troope used in many stories and is almost never resolved this way.
On another angle, even casino have to prove someone is cheating, anyone can bring up the accussation but without proof is just a insult.
The princess in this case made them avoid wasting time, but it would still have gone well for MC.

The plotting is so lazy. First why is nobody asking him what he actually see because he seems to be just asserting it is impossible and the fitting reply would be "If you don't have additional information for us, please move along." and challenging MC is just non sensical especially with the princess being higher rank and having zero reason to go along with this.
