Thanks for the chapter. I'm assuming that the tomboy side of Wakaba is an act to stay closer to Daiki due to his apparent fear of women, so it makes me wonder what will end up happening. I think whether or not Daiki gets used to Wakaba's feminine side by the time they start dating will determine whether this manga will end at the confession or continue past it.

If Daiki gets used to Wakaba's feminine side before they start dating, then I think the manga will end at the confession. This is simply because if it doesn't end there, then the manga will have to change its premise from "Cute girl disguises herself as tomboy to stay with gynophobic MC" to something else. Admittedly, there have been manga that discard their main premise partway through, such as Kaguya-sama, but they are far and few between.

On the other hand, if Daiki doesn't get use to Wakaba's feminine side before they start dating, then the story can evolve to focus on the hijinks around Wakaba trying to maintain her tomboy image whilst dating Daiki. I personally think this option is much more likely than the other, and can already imagine Wakaba constantly trying to maintaining the fine line between wanting to do "couple things" and wanting to maintain her image as a tomboy. Although I would still much prefer that it ends with Daiki getting over his fear of women, rather than an open ended "will he, won't he" that seems to be all too common.

Yummy icecream! That's a great treat for nighttime.

I wouldn't say Daiki forgot his wallet, considering he just went out for the delivery. Thought it is good practice to always have it on you. It's a good thing he didn't have it though, he got a gift from Wakaba because of it!

I'm guessing Wakaba was embarrassed because of how feminine she looked, but she's still cute either way. I'm sure showing off your feminine looks every once in a while won't be too bad for Daiki.

The only difference was the stylish and cute girl is actually her true face and the tomboy side is her facade to get close to her neighbor.
Both are well and truly her, but her tomboyish self is something that her friend is familiar with (since she's been like that since they were kids), and she leverages that to keep him at ease with her.

Her tomboyishness seems to be closer to the kind that's a developmental phase, but not exactly.

I find that most of the time, the "fear of women" part is overplayed and remain with the characters too long. Traumas and such aren't easily overcome, but it's not how it tends to be portrayed. It's much more often about not being used to women, which is much easier to handle. The gender reversed version is probably more commonly used, but that's maybe because of the more popular demographics.

I completely agree that trauma is much harder to overcome than is often depicted in any media, and as you said, there is a decent chance that Daiki is just uncomfortable around women. The thing is, just as manga rarely displays realistic portrayals of overcoming trauma, neither does it commonly portray the most realistic forms of trauma itself. Like when manga portrays general uncomfortableness around women/men as a trauma response.

I think the two main points I was trying to make are that:
  1. I would like to see Wakaba constantly trying to maintain the fine line between wanting to do "couple things" and wanting to maintain her image as a tomboy to stay close to Daiki, and
  2. I generally don't like open endings, so Daiki eventually getting over whatever he has going on would be ideal. This would have to occur after they begin dating to satisfy point 1, but I believe is essential. Because otherwise Wakaba would have to pretend to be someone she isn't for perpetuity
