Secret Hanei chapter! I like how Toudou isn't waffling much, instead going seemingly all-in on Hanei. I suppose we'll have to see how things shake out once the gang gets back together, since I imagine some of the others aren't going to go down without a fight.

I liked the touch of Hanei's friends teasing her about the phone call with Toudou; it shows that Hanei wasn't that subtle about her affections but Toudou was just too dense.

Arare isn't as insufferable as I thought she'd be. I'm hoping she gets exposed to the rest of Toudou's gang, since I imagine a lot of them wouldn't be as taken with her as she'd like. Maybe Ruruka'd be like "a Toudou is a Toudou" and come across entirely too intense for Arare. Even after all this time, we've only had one Ruruka chapter!

I think it's possibility for ep 2 Arare. Or make appearance in Hanei chapter, since both are friends? Classmate?

Hanei has always seen right through her, understanding her as a futdamentally selfish person, and not liking her despite this, but for this. She believs in Toudou for who Toudou is.

She's also one of the few girls who has never consumed the love potion and, despite this, has consistently always loved Toudou.

She also fundamentally doesn't take shit from Toudou, something entirely necessary to have a healthy relationship with her. Not only that, she knows how to be direct about when Toudou is dodging saying things or being shitty and shutting it down immediately.

She's also a source of stability in her life, something which this chapter demonstrated she always sorely needed.

And also, like how Toudou needs the things Hanei gives her, Hanei needs the perspective she gets from Toudou, the push to better herself and live more for herself instead of others. She isn't just someone who loves Toudou, but who needs her and can make herself better by being with Toudou.
