....these two are so dumb and have some toxic attitude to go out with someone.
We shouldn't forget that 3/4 chapters before, the only feelings Renako had when thinking about Mai was annoyance. Annoy because she had to go apologize and make her feel better when she was the one being aggressed, yes aggressed at her home. And annoy because she doesn't have time to spend with her "angel". And all the times Mai force her way into her. This is not romance, this is conditioning someone to love you.
And Mai act really like a predator. Forcing her to do this, do that, giving her the cold shoulder when Renako is angry and making her to apologize when she's clearly at fault. But tbf Renako didn't play fair in their arrangement. Mai did every thing she asks without questioning anything while she was playing the girl hard to get.
Their relationship is so problematic.

yea honestly i really dont like how they are making it seem like the slap was more important than mai literally forcing herself on renako

I'm gonna keep reading the rest of the chapters to see if it's still any good. Renako X Mai is no good for me

Ya know what to be fair, I see what your doing there author, renako has her issues she works out here admitting she may have feelings for her abuser- I mean mai... Stockholm syndrome, and Mai has been internalizing renakos slap as renako must absolutely despise her now, which renako has to fix by proving her love and removing the almost rape, this some sweet Yuri, and including the almost rape, at least renako does address Mai went to far and that's why she slapped her, renako does seem to be drawing the line there, so whether Mai knows that or not will depend on if another similar event happens... But there are still issues
This chapter didn't do a good job explaining whether Mai would do what she did again, and I swear part of this was renako apologizing for saying no, STOP APOLOGIZING FOR SAYING NO, I just don't think what renako did to hurt Mai is quite equal to what Mai did to hurt renako
This chapter also doesn't solve anything, it just has renako admit her feels may be there while Mai stops trying to punish herself for something she should absolutely be punished for, remember I said renako did draw the line at mais actions why renako slapped her? That's more of a passing comment tacked on to another else, the fact that renako almost got raped is sidestepped for the Yuri which leaves a bad taste in the mouth a connoisseur like myself, what if Mai doesn't it again? What if renako still isn't ready for sex but because they didn't have a talk about that specifically Mai gets forceful again, and we don't have a sister to bail out renako WHAT THEN, Mai is still a Grapist, only she knows her victim likes it now
Oh dear, the core issue here, Mai is making the victim, renako, apologize to her,
Not literally but she immediately holes herself up assuming renako hates her, which forces renako to come to her to make peace
Wait did Mai even fucking apologize?
Aside from the point, I stand by what I said earlier, it should've been Mai to go apologize to renako, ya know the actual victim, the slap is in no way shape or form the actual issue here or even an issue in the slightest SO STOP APOLOGIZING FOR THE SLAP RENAKO, on one hand shes like I'm sorry I slapped you i shouldn't have don't that, and on another she's like I slapped you cause you were going too far, If I'm not over exaggerating this that's an actual writing inconsistency, but also like your trying to hard to make Mai a sympathetic character but your brushing off the fact she force her way onto another girl cause her lust got the better of her, and is making no measures to ensure this doesn't ever fucking happen again
You know what, nah renakos not safe either, I saw you return the favor with a nonconsensual kiss there i fuck with that unless we have specific incidents, I'd probably have let it slide of not for know the context, but that's minor cause you stay choosing Mai when she has literally no redeeming qualities, you want in a friend, you almost got raped yet instead of avoiding the assaulter you take the first chance to SAVE HER from wallowing her own self doubt!? Do you not understand the weight of what was fucking done to you!? AJISAN IS RIGHT THERE BITCH
