To be fair, this is totally in character for her. It's been established that she did not make a lot of friends in middle school and is not used to friends in general. She quite literally does not understand how to make friends properly; She very much obviously has a very contorted view of friendship. Renako and Ajisai have very different ideas about what liking some one means.
