Ah, about the age of adulthood changing from 18 to 15, it really didn't (or at least I don't think so).
It was explicitly said in the earlier chapter that dark elves wore ear cuffs when they came of age, which was at 18.
So 18 would probably be the age of adulthood for dark elves but not necessarily the same for the humans of this kingdom.

Time for Al's insecurities and Haruka's social anxiety to come head to head.

Also, "friends" really is a problem when the age gap is that big. The bodies may all be 15, but Haruka still has a mid-40s old man as a core identity, putting them 30 years ahead of the kids. Parent, guardian, caretaker, mentor (insofar as one with "amnesia" can be such), sure, but "friends" is weird.

Even more so when it's the self-described "single, awkward, otaku, scolded by my superiors, disrespected by my juniors, and stuck in the daily grind", because at that point, you're used to keeping people at arm's length and then some. :aquadrink:

I'm not surprised Haruka is rather mysterious big sister + maidenly. It was a role that seemed to fit her from day one and months into the role, I'm not surprised she's adapted.

What kind of surprises me is that we did a timeskip without any of the usual TS tropes. Haruka never feeling out of place wearing women's clothing, not being sure how to talk to other women, etc. -- far from that seeming like an oversight or absence, though, in my opinion that just adds to the sense that Haruka is finally where she's always belonged. This would be a great setup even if Haruka was a put-upon OL in her past life, though the genderswap adds just a pinch of oregano to it.

I gotta say I really like the slow cooking this isekai is doing. It does indeed fit the gentle pacing of an oji-san's dream life.

I believe this is just how Haruka originally is, I have seen guys who are really passive before. Since she's used to her gender by now + her natural personality, she would indeed seem like a maiden

plus her current body isn't simply appear along with her isekai, the novel imply her body may originally belong to/replicate from a goddess (hence why she's so strong). So the original "habit" may be there, like how she keep stroking her ear in the novel

I don't know man, sometimes I read this the MC acts more like a maiden then an old dude. Which is not a bad thing but considering how much he talk about he being an old man...
Mc was so suppressed in her old life that it didn’t matter what she was and now she gots 17 yearish old teen hormones messing with her head so yeah at this point she isn’t an uncle.

How Haruka is not really surprising to me, they seem to just go with the flow of less resistance and seems to never learned to express themself as... well themself, not defending their choice or anything just living without a goal or thing they want and follow to a degree what people expect of them.
Also dunno vibing with people of different age is not really that hard, yeah you are in another mind space but vibing does not really affect that, at least I never did have a problem being friend with older people when young

Translator screwed up some nouns regarding 2nd person vs 3rd person a bit. But it's no big deal.
Thanks for the work as always, of course.

Is it just me or the MC mind slowly became that maiden?

Anyway, it's still fun and enjoyable to read
Thanks for the tl :wooow:
There's a saying: Form influences function. It's very likely MC is being influenced by the change to a younger opposite gender body. Not to mention MC has made least one "older sister" type friends who showed them the ropes of taking care of themselves in the beginning.
