I've caught up with the web novel and so far, there's no romantic relationship (nor is it planned to), maybe only characters casually admire her beauty because of how rare dark elf is and that's it, the rest is platonic.

What I like about the MC is how she starts spineless "Ohh right I'm just a loser oji-san" to grows more confident(slowly) as she begins her new life/journey/adventure

Overall it's just a wholesome, slow-burn, action-slice-of-life-ish fantasy story, and I'm all in for it

But two chapters in and I already want to go read the light novel. I really enjoy the tone and pace of this. It doesn't throw everything at you right away and he behaves exactly like you would expect someone in his situation to.

I don't know what the rules are for linking to other sites, but I went and found the light novels and have been reading those ever since finding this manga here.

I've also ordered both of the physical releases of the light novels that are out so far, because I've enjoyed them enough to want to own them and to support the author. And I seem to have made the author's day by letting him know this.

I enjoy it quite a bit. It's probably that I see a lot of myself in the main character of one of these for once and it's a fun read seeing how he (or she) would handle things in this new world. I'm sure to many people, it's just a boiler plate isekai, but I love how much more focused it is on the characters thoughts and motivations and their insecurities and interactions with one another and not all just action for action's sake (but it has some of that, too).
