It's not though, getting radicalized to one side because of one individual is the dumbest thing you can do
While I agree that the best radicalization is one accompanied by class consciousness, I have to disagree that it's dumb. Disillusionment at the establishment can come from anywhere. Humans are inherently irrational thanks to our biological makeup, it's entirely in line with our material reality.

Also, while Dole wasn't himself class-aware, he was ready to go down with the aristocracy and leave the commoner-led new era in the hands of his daughter, who was already more class-aware thanks to meeting Rae's parents. Reality being what it is, that's going to be something they'll have to settle with until the next repeat of history, and on until classlessness becomes a thing.

Not exactly because there is more to it.
I mean I guess the manga was not that clear yet but its like when he started to investigate his wife's assassination, eh realize the can of worms that it was nobility, that it was not exactly just 1 culprit.... so eyah its not rly a slippery slope in this case because his hatred came from realizing that you could as well blame the whole nobility system on it.
That's a human problem, the moment a class is in power, there will be corruption, doesn't matter if it's the nobility, the rich, or the one with magic: It is a slippery slope to hate on a group or category of people because of bad apples

Yes my bad for saying "dumb" 'cause I didn't want to talk at length about it, still, there will always be a class system: to put it very simply, we had nobility/people, then bourgeoisie/people and then they changed their name in modern time to rich/poor, even in this world it will be magic/non-magic on top of it, "classlessness" is a pure utopia

The thing is... literally for him the "bad apples" were like 80% of the group.... sorry I still think he has a reason to hate the group.
You gotta realize that the story is still fictional (The game "Revolution" I mean) So them portraying the politics in an exptreme way wouldnt be surprising honestly.

It wouldn't be surprising indeed, I was just responding to someone taking it a bit too seriously and/or personally

Even within the context of the story, he is still wrong. The story is full of people of noble birth, even the corrupt noble houses still have decent and moral people within them.

Yes ultimately the whole system is corrupt, but the funny thing about corrupt systems is that they are still full of people that are mostly just trying to do their best, but the way the system works it amplifies and rewards bad apples.

FFS, remember Loretta and Pepi? Is Claire supposed to throw her childhood friends under the bus?

Thats an excellent question xD.... This was adressed right?

The thing is sure there are mostly kids or small ppl, but like I said, there is proof of like the majority on a web of corruption..... but a specific kind one because of Doyle.

Think like Epstein now, but ppl actually releasing the files lol.

BTW remember what Rae just said? Doyle's rage towards nobility was so big that he was willing to sacrifice even Claire for the sake of punishing all of the nobility system. Making other innocent nobles suffer would be a small price.

Ultimately what the dumbass Doyle wants is irrelevant, he has already been badly outmaneuvered by Salas who is in the process of hijacking his whole plan for himself and for the Nur Empire. That is a funny thing about revolutions, most of them end hijacked by mass murdering assholes (see the French and Russian revolutions for the best known examples).

But we don't really care about Doyle, we care about Claire, (and LN readers also care about Loretta and Pepi and Catherine). And maybe part of the reason Claire isn't going to "radicalize and denounce her noble status" is because she isn't going to abandon a whole fucking social class of "mostly kids and small ppl" including her childhood friends.

Ngl I think Catherine was a bit too much.... I'm ok if they forget she existed..... get it? lol... but I didnt rly like her adition... idk.

But yeah ppl don't care about Doyle but still the game kinda centers on him and his actions right. Sure Salas take advantage and all, but still Doyle mostly do everything by himself, and in the end he ends up "winning" because no matter what happens next, he does punish the nobility.... on the OG game at least.

...they were shoehorning trying to force in some sort of renaissance revolutionary plotline, when the original premise had nothing to do with it.
...one of the first major arcs establishes the conflict between the royals and poors, a forbidden incestual relationship that led to the "couple's" exile, and a ploy to kill both groups with a monster, and the assassin trying to poison one of the three royal siblings when that fell through.

Also, uh, the title of the game is "Revolution". So much of the early backstory and worldbuilding was setting the stage for the political forces and government. Rae was taking advantage of this to further her goals.

Like, it's always been this way. I dunno what to tell ya, but it isn't a sudden, out of nowhere devlopment.
