I haven't been this excited and intrigued by a yuri plot since Bloom into You, and don't get me wrong there has been some really nice ones in between but the stakes here are huge and side characters really shine as well.

As a light novel reader it's nice to see the changes that they made here namely

setting up the merging of Lilly's personalities after Spellbreaker breaks Salas's magic on her.

Also the double page spread of the magic ray was fantastic. I had always imagined it as a line in the ground magic ray but the full power refusal she put into it scouring the plaza was just great. Really sets in that level of hopelessness Rae experiences.

This series LOVES to play with my feelings from both the battle and the meetup moment.

As always I appreciate how much this series gives us consistent almost 40 pages chapters which is pretty nice and very well worth the wait for the most part.

Manga still being so peak..... Manaria fighting with a sword was a surprise I was not expecting as well damn... and well... yeah... full rejection..

In the Novel Manaria would show up only now.... but I think the next event will be quite similar to the novel if things go as planned...

it's a bit cringy ngl but welp I have hopes that the manga might deal with all of that even better so let see \o/

Yeah, it’s pretty much half assed.. she knows how stubborn Rae is, and she purposely missed her spell. Everything is half assed.. I’m glad to see Lily on the back foot.. She is way too overpowered and the plot had her back until now..I really didn’t like Lily’s character, both the split personality ones… I am glad that Manaria was not a one off character and is actually holding up here.. Usually any previous “strong” characters are only strong in their arc but pretty become canon fodder when they join the MC’s team but here Manaria is still strong and holds her own!! I wish the other series “
Tensei Oujo to Tensai Reijou no Mahou Kakumei-The Magical Revolution of the Reincarnated Princess and the Genius Young Lady” would have followed the same route as this series and adapted all the light novels!
