Damn. You know, there's people speculating if Goeido actually r*ped Kanoko or not, but either way, she was definitely s*xually
aussalted. She was pushed down and had her clothes torn off. Even if nothing happened passed that, she was definitely in fear that her body was in danger.
I'm glad that Sumika is handling the fallout the best she can. I've not really had to deal with a situation like this, so I don't know if it's the best way to handle it, but it'a very obvious she's trying her best to support Kanoko. I hope it's obvious to Kanoko as well. Communicating with the people who want to support you is probably very important in these cases.
Despite all her flaws and selfishness, I really hope Kanoko recovers well. Even if she changes for the better as a person, there is no world where Goeido is justified in her actions.

edit: I dunno, man. I don't feel anything anymore. I just want Sumika to be happy, but her happiness is Kanoko.
edit2: just had to re-read the chapter again, and damn, I don't want those two to end up together. But if author-san wants them to end up together, then they better write it the right way and not rush and half-ass the ending.

She needs to bounce on this bitch, put up some boundaries and distance her self from this emotional leach... Konako pretty much just hit sumikia with that uno reverse S/A then tried to justify it by saying she doesn't wanna break up..... She doesn't even have true feelings for sumikia just doesn't wanna be alone. Nene needs to hurry up and spit game at sumikia so we can get the real ship sailing and whiny glasses can take a short trip off a long cliff.

Sumika continues to be just the absolute best! I love how even though she was angry about Kanoko's betrayal she still tried communicating with her in that stressful situation. Kanoko seems to have a very transactional view of relationships so my hope at least is now for her to mature using the fallout from this incident since somewhere along the line this clearly stopped being about Hime (just like the series)

Sumika is way too good for Kanako but if that's what she wants I hope they can be happy together. I really hope we get back to Hime soon though. She, Nene and Yano and my favorite characters.

Kanoko being an absolute mess of a person is great. I knew she try something like this. Love how Sumika handled it. She can tell that Kanoko isn't exactly processing things well at all and she feels like she deserves more punishment. Im really rooting for them because it's clear that Kanoko just kinda latches on to who ever will have her, and while Hime will be a great friend, Sumika will actually give her love. Also I think Kanoko was a little enraged by the fact Sumika was reinforcing the idea that physical stuff was more important, and she 100% missed the fact that Sumika just didn't want her to be hurt in anyway, she doesn't know everything that happened to her. Kanoko is clearly a victim of SA, and she doesn't understand just how much she is spiraling. Im glad Sumika is catching her. Wish I could have done that for my bf
Yeah. I'm weirded out that I brushed passed that.
In my opinion, it's definitely not justifiable, but I can see why she did it. She's probably been replaying that moment since it happened, reliving the fear and powerlessness. Doing it to Sumika was probably a twisted, desperate attempt to escape those replays- to exert power where before she was powerless. It could also be her taking that bitch's "lesson" to heart. I can see both ways, but in either case it's still a fucked thing to do.
Again, I'm not sure if Sumika did the best thing here, but she's decided to stay with Kanoko. I hope Sumika can teach her what a healthy realationship with healthy boundaries looks like. Otherwise, I hope Sumika can find the will to cut Kanoko off if she can't change or, worse, starts to resemble that bitch

Writing about watayuri is kinda hard for me because there is a lot of things going on, and a lot of drama, but the drama is the point, that is why I don't understand people complaining about it.
I guess I'll focus on the photo of Kanoko, photos have always been part of Sumika and Kanoko's story, the same way the piano is present in Hime and Yano's story in one way or another. This photo is the start of this part of the story and you see it a few times through the arc, taken by Sumika, signed be Kanoko, and it just represents Sumika's feelings for Kanoko. We went from photos of Hime, to photos of Kanoko, and I wouldn't be surprised if their story ends with a photo of Sumika.
