its a common thing for people who want to die to avoid killing themselves, its a really tragic way to go out that can really affect people around them, so she might feel restrained by that and thus not want to kill herself, thats why she says that the girl might "let" her die without the guilt of suicide put on her close ones (this is just my theory tho)
